Bart was born and raised in the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area and earned his Bachelor of Business degree with a concentration in marketing from Sam Houston State University in 2000. He launched his career as a real estate appraiser in 2001, eventually founding his own appraisal company. By 2005, he had expanded into residential remodeling and renovation, and in 2009, he began constructing and remodeling high-end custom homes. After successfully building and selling both the appraisal company and the custom home business, Bart shifted his focus to commercial development, where he brings extensive expertise in valuation, appraisal, design, construction, and project execution.

James is from the Houston area and received his B.B.A. in Energy Management from the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. He began his career in the energy sector at Concho Resources in Midland, Texas, where he focused on project management and acquisitions. He later transitioned to smaller ventures in Dallas, focusing on valuation, acquisitions, and asset management at Fifth Partners across their oil and gas and real estate platforms. Today, James leads acquisitions, pre-development, and asset management at Gardner Construction and ConTex Development Partners, overseeing critical functions across the full real estate lifecycle.
